Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Trivia Vault mobile game, package com.bigg.triviavault, the online services available through triviavault.online, and related support services.

You can play Trivia Vault offline without creating an online account. Online competitions, server scoring and leaderboards require an account.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

• Username, display name and a securely hashed version of your password.
• Your selected profile avatar and, where supported, an optional custom avatar.
• Authentication tokens used to keep you signed in. Passwords are not stored in readable form.

Game and competition information

• Selected category and difficulty, answer choices, question progress, score, lives and streak.
• Competition ranking, best score and best streak displayed on online leaderboards.
• Local game statistics such as total games, accuracy, strongest category, favourite category, coins and settings.

Device and technical information

• IP address, request time and basic server logs used for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
• App and device diagnostic information supplied by service providers, including crash or performance information where applicable.
• A device-derived value is used locally to protect the saved sign-in token. The derived encryption key is not uploaded to our server.

Advertising information

Trivia Vault uses Google Mobile Ads for banner, interstitial and optional rewarded advertising. Depending on your consent, device and region, Google may process IP address, advertising or app-set identifiers, app interactions, ad views and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and service operation.

Purchases

The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Google Play provides the app with purchase status needed to unlock the feature and restore it.

3. How we use information

• Provide offline gameplay, online accounts, server-scored rounds and leaderboards.
• Authenticate users, maintain sessions and protect accounts.
• Calculate scores, streaks, rewards, statistics and competition rankings.
• Remember accessibility, audio, avatar and other game preferences.
• Display and measure advertising, subject to applicable consent choices.
• Process and restore Google Play purchases.
• Detect abuse, investigate faults, secure the service and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with:

• Other players: your display name, avatar, leaderboard position, best score and best streak may be public in the game.
• Google: Google Mobile Ads for advertising and measurement, and Google Play for purchases and app distribution.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, security and backup providers that process information to operate Trivia Vault.
• Authorities or advisers: where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud or keep users and the service safe.
• Business successors: if the service or its assets are reorganised, sold or transferred, subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Retention and security

Account and competition information is kept while your account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service. Expired or revoked session information and operational logs are removed or anonymised according to security and backup-rotation needs.

When an account is deleted, associated profile, session, round and leaderboard data is deleted or anonymised, except information that must be retained for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention or accounting reason. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups rotate out.

We use HTTPS encryption in transit, password hashing, restricted database access and token protection. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Your choices and rights

• Play offline without creating a Trivia Vault online account.
• Change music, sound, vibration, text-size and colour-blind settings.
• Use available consent controls for personalised advertising.
• Reset or delete the Android advertising ID through device settings.
• Update your display name and avatar in the Player Profile.
• Request access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.

Removing the app deletes its locally stored data from that device, but does not by itself delete an online account. Use the process below to delete the online account and associated server data.

8. Children’s privacy

Trivia Vault is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action. Different age thresholds may apply by country.

9. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game, service providers or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version here and update the date above. Material changes may also be highlighted in the app.
